A family passion for history
Ancient Delights was born of a Madrid numismatic house with more than four decades of craft. We pair that rigour with a simple idea: that Mediterranean history can be worn.
Four decades behind every coin
It all began with my father. Since the 1980s he has been one of the leading voices in Spanish numismatics — the kind of expert the media call when an important piece appears. His shop is still open in the heart of Madrid, at Calle Mayor 25, where he now works alongside my brother.
I grew up among catalogues, loupes and coins that had crossed centuries. That is where my love of history and the idea of Ancient Delights come from: to take that knowledge from home and give it a form you can wear every day.
I select each coin directly from the family house's holdings — decades of rigorous, traceable acquisition, not anonymous purchases.
The certificate of authenticity is issued by the numismatic house itself — the same backing that supports collectors and institutions.
Ancient Delights is born from the family numismatic house at Calle Mayor 25, Madrid — my father and brother's business, open since the eighties. That is where I select every coin and where the certificate of authenticity comes from. Ancient Delights is my own, online project; the Madrid shop is its origin, not its storefront.

The Mediterranean was the cradle and crossroads of the great civilizations — Greece, Rome, Byzantium. Across its sea travelled ideas, gods and, above all, coins: the first object that different peoples shared and recognised.
Every piece we sell is an authentic coin from that history. The Mediterranean is the gateway — the emotional, the aspirational. The documented history of each coin is the proof.
We don't invent stories. We research, catalogue and certify. And then we let you carry a real fragment of two thousand years ago.
