Denarius of Hadrian
An authentic silver coin struck under Hadrian. Wear it as is, as a collector's piece — or turn it into a bespoke pendant by adding a mount and chain, in silver or gold. We never alter the coin.
What you hold, exactly
Hadrian was the travelling, philhellene emperor who consolidated the Empire's borders — his is the famous wall in Britain. His family came from Italica, in Hispania Baetica.
He issued a series of denarii dedicated to the Empire's provinces. On this one, Rome portrays Hispania reclining, with an olive branch — a coin in which the Mediterranean looks at itself.
“Rome engraved Hispania here. Today Hispania wears it once more.”
